Hello,

I am just trying to gather some information on Blueline Angelfish. So please share your experience! How big and fast they grow in captivity? Are they aggressive?

thanks,

I just got mine from POMA labs. Highly recommended.

he hasn’t nipped at coral yet. Here and there at zoasbut not bad. Gorgeous and personable fish.

Had a blueline years ago .... for almost a decade. He was a good reef fish, though the only large angel in the system. Grew to be about 8-9”, so smaller than wild size. Nipped a bit but not significant.

Mine is form Poma and will be two years old on 1/20/20. About one inch when it arrived and 4-5" today. Nips at every soft coral in the tank. Doesn't bother nems that are hosting clowns but I had to remove a Haddoni that wasn't protected by clowns due the Blueline nipping it.

Search R2R for Blueline info. There is plenty here. I have two from Poma that were born 1/20/18. Brother and sisters of Bob’s. They are now about 3.5~4”. Both are non-aggressive to all other tank mates and they hold their own among much larger angels. They eat like there is no tomorrow. One grazes all day nipping at everything including clams and most soft corals. Lost Duncan’s palys and zoas. The other blueline just paces back and forth begging along the front glass when it sees me. I never see this one grazing the rocks at all. I have had to separate the two due to the fighting getting out of hand. I found the smaller one in the top corner of the tank getting pounded. Fins were shredded and had wounds on it’s side. I though I was going to lose it. It has since healed up and is happy in another tank.

I have two from Poma Labs born on 4/17/2019 so they are still small. Only in my soft corals tank for a bit over two weeks now. They don't nip anything yet and eat everything I throw in the tank. Poma Labs is the best. I am bugging Matthew to breed scribbled angels!

Beautiful fish and aquascape! Thanks for sharing.

I’ve been bugging Matthew for Scribbled angels as well. Blue line is on my list as well
