I purchased a brand new Blueline 40X pump which I installed in January of this year. Unfortunately the impeller only lasted 6 months.

I tried to get the impeller replaced on warranty and was told no inlet screen they would not replace it.

I could have lied and said of course there was a screen. Problem with that is the inlet screen is in an area of my sump protected by a foam pad. Nothing gets in there. I am very disappointed as I expected better support from Blueline than that, especially with how new it is. My last pump ran ten years and never missed a beat in the exact same configuration.

Has anyone else had any experience with broken impellers?

I have a blueline 70hd and it's been running trouble free since 2007. No intake screen just a large foam block not allowing anything into the intake area of the sump. Did something get in there when you looked inside the impeller housing?

Nope I took it apart right away, nothing in it or around it. Three fins broken off. The foam block in front of this never moved and has been the same system for 10.5 years... I honestly would have just expected them to replace the impeller which can't be that expensive or offered it to me at a reduced rate or something...

I agree! I have a BL 40hdx running too. No problems[emoji108]
