Bluestar wrasse missing upper lip

My bluestar just came out of the sand for first time 6 days after adding him. He is missing the thin, upper layer of his top lip.......I can see his teeth sticking out like buck teeth. Do you expect him to grow that back? doesn't look really damaged, just the lip/tube piece seems to be either rolled back or missing.

I'm sure he'll be fine... he just won't able to whistle and will probably have a lisp when he talks
