I have recently moved and had to tear down my 30 gallon rectangular. I have slightly upgraded to a 40 breeder with a corner overflow drilled, and a 20 gallon sump built into a new wall cabinet.

its built into the center wall of the house in the dining room. Some cabinet doors will go above the tank for the lights and another shelf will span the top to finish it off

You should paint the sides of the tank as well that way u don't have stray light coming out of the tank and onto the wood walls.just a thought.

For good lighting you should paint them white to help bounce back light rays...
Just my 2cents

That's looking awesome!

Thank you everyone. I am going to stock it with all my existing habitants, (zoas, SPS) pretty much a mixed reef. and i have a pair of black ice snowflake clowns, a few chromis, firefish, and a 6 six line wrasse plus ill be adding a few more

base cabinet painted white inside

got the cabinet all coated inside to help with cleanup and wood preservation. more pics to come tonight.

Got half the lights mounted.

Two t5 2 footers and in the middle of the t5's will be a kessil A350W. The two t5s are aquablue special and a Coral Plus Bulb.
