Boiled egg yolk?

Was making breakfast yesterday wondering if fish can eat eggs. Just looked it up and found it was ok and thought I would try a boiled egg. All my fish ate it even my copperband. Just trying to add some variety and wondering if anyone has fed egg yolk long term. Not going to be the main diet just an occasional treat.

I know of this for freshwater but never attempted saltwater due to its ability to quickly foul the water

I read that. Just fed a little and it all got eaten.
