I went to a tank breakdown and purchased like 30 frags all on frag plugs (mostly zoas). I need to remove the corals from the plugs. Some oil the plugs are more ceramic and some of the others are more like concrete.

Will bone cutters cut through ALL types of frag plugs or just the ceramic-y types?

I use bone cutters for live rock, concrete, limestone, cutting the stems off of plugs, white plugs, black plugs, whatever. Just put your weight into it.

If you want to remove zoas from the plugs, the easiest way imo is to just razor them off and re-glue them onto different plugs

Oh you’re fine, I love dangerously so I (stupidly) never wear any kind of protective gear. Been fragging and selling for a couple months now with absolutely no negative encounters. Don’t cut the polyps and wash your hands VERY thoroughly and you should be just fine.

Oh hey you're in Houston too! That's awesome! I don't know very many local reefers

Hi! You on MARSH yet?

I check the MARSH sub-forum on R2R but it hasn't had a post in a month. I joined the Houston Reef Connection and Major League Reefers on facebook

Be careful with the razor method, it works on hardy zoas. I did it with some Rastas I have and the polyp melted days later. Try to get under the polyp with some of the plug under it. I use a wood chisel, worked well with my Punk Rockers.
