I have a goldline ,or six line grouper about 7 inches long. I bought it from someone who was shutting down their tank, about 8 months ago. It has always followed the grouper behaviour of being solitary, but would come out sometime each day for a swim and to eat.
over the past 2 or 3 weeks it has stayed behind its rock and actually goes to sleep on its side, but when it does wake up it still stays in that spot and will only take food there.
would a grouper get frightened? ,I know when it did come out , my yellow tang was always bullying it and actually cut it with its spines once.
It is such a peaceful docile fish and looks so sad behind the rocks
