So I turned my heaters off two days ago when I had to fish a clown out of the overflow. I accidentally turned them to on instead of auto and went out of town for a about six hours. They are ran by my Reefkeeper but I don't have email setup yet. I came home and everything was closed up. I got slowly got the temp back to normal. My frogspawns started melting first. Most of my SPS died. Starting yesterday all my acans started melting plus my scoly. Today my acans are almost gone and a few recordia have started melting. My torch and bubble looks like they're fixing to do the same. All my favias and zoas have shown zero stress. I came home today, saw the tank and started moving everything that looks good to my frag tank. Everything looks like it has brown jelly now.

My questions...
Will any dip help my Torch and Bubble and should I move them to my frag tank as well?
I planned on replace the GFO and carbon...will that help clear up the tank?
How long should I keep everything out of this tank?

Very discouraging with MACNA coming at the end of the week.

Sorry to hear that!

I would continue to run the carbon to clear up the water and remove some toxins. GFO I would think is pointless right now and could add more stress to the system.

Sorry to hear, I'm afraid only time will tell. Do some waterchanges and keep your fingers crossed.

sorry to hear! i would do water changes every 2 days and change the carbon. hopefully, you can rescue what's left. you definitely need to try and stop those toxins as it's causing a change reaction.

89 degrees. I've had stuff survive hitting 93 in a 10g before so I don't really understand what happened. This is a 165g.

Dang that sucks! I hope the remaining stuff pulls thru for you.

I run my heater using my AC Jr, but I also set the thermostat on the heaters themselves to 82 as a fail safe in case the controller screws up or I leave them on like you did. Are you able to do that in your case?

No I can't do that. I have the controllable Finnex. The network and email options will be setup before this weekend, I will be at MACNA, and someone will be on call alert! I can promise you I will not do this again. If at all possible I will never turn the heaters off. I will move them instead.
