Anybody care to share some stupid mistakes that caused a lot of anger? I just put a pump in feed mode instead of off that had a tube for a reactor pointed straight up, came inside and there was about 20 gallons on the floor, destroyed the led lights, got electrocuted by T5s , used every towel in the house. Quite upset.

Any stories to make me feel like less an idiot?

I've left my ATO fill tube hanging behind my tank while doing maintenance then forgot about it and walked away (a couple of times, actually).
*siphon can be a _____!

Where to start:

In my LFS employee days:

Filled our 10 gallon frag tank with fresh water (from our saltwater vat our fish manager never put salt in it) (loss of about $300 in livestock)

Left the ATO running over night in a a combined 6 tank system virtually turning them freshwater (loss of about $1200 in livestock)

In my personal tanks:

Left the RO DI running over night - overflowing (luckily into the basement)

Set the dosing bottle too close to the doser causing it to press the manual dose button and dump 1500 ml of all for reef into my 65 gallon tank

Didn’t reset the ATO on my wife’s tank after it ran dry. Filled the ATO and it promptly dumped all 5 gallons of water into her 32 gallon tank, overflowing on to the carpet and dropping the salinity down to 1.017.

It definitely sucks but you’ll get through it!

Ooo. I forgot to install ro membrane in the tube. And welp my ugly period was very very long. I didn’t realize I had done it for a freeking year
