So you know how you clean pumps by running then for a few hours in vinegar in a bucket? I did that with my mp40 yesterday (dry and wet side in bucket)! What a moron I know! Note to self folks DONT DO THAT!!!! The experiment didnt go very well. However, I left the dry side on fan all night and it now works again!!!!!

Sometimes you just don't think. You're not alone. I about stuck a reeflo dart into a tub of water one day. I had just recieved it and wanted to make sure it worked. Filled the tub and grabbed the pump to toss it in. Luckily I caught myself and thought what the heck am I doing, I can't submerge the motor.
Glad it works for you again, but if any water got in there I am sure its only a matter of time before a failure. You may want to consider opening up the dryside and trying to really get it 100% dried out and put something like dielectric grease on any electrical contacts in there so they don't corrode out on you.

Thats a good one!! Testament to the mp40 though that it still works today, I'm amazed!!
