Hey guys,

Just got a booster pump for my ro/di unit, was running just under 40 psi prior to the pump (we run off well water). Got the pump in yesterday and now the pressure is well over 100psi. Should i be worried about too much pressure? Also if anyone has experience with them, seems like i would always have to unplug and plug in the unit to put it on and off, is there some sort of internal shut off or am i just going to have to do this manually (vertex model)?

Good booster pumps should come with a pressure switch like the Aquatec 8800 models do. I am not a fan of Vertex products at all, clones at best.
With the pressure switch it is automatic, I set mine on 100 psi and it maintains it. You also need an autoshutoff valve with a float valve or solenoid and float switches so when the comtainer is full the float raises or upper switch breaks the circuit and the solenoid closes tripping the autoshutof valve shutting off both the supply and the waste streams.
