Yea they do. People say they have to get acclimated to light first. when i had mine, it seemed that it was shy around other fish including me, but after a while he would swim about. As long as they are eating theyll be alright

Also people say when deepwater anthias are stuck under rocks and ledges for long peroids of time could be the result of compression issues

He was swimming well but he does have a place I can't see him lol.

He was as of Sunday night but haven't seen him since so I was target feeding in the area he was.

I had a fish kind of bully him but I pulled him this morning. Maybe he will eventually come out. I have good flow so if he were dead he would be in tank somewhere.

My old one was out all the time in my dim QT tank. He was eating like a pig. Then in DT, he hid and I didn't see him for 2 weeks. I thought he was dead for sure. Then one day I saw a tail. Then the next, half a body, then next he was out all the time and was one of my favorite fish. So much personality. Sadly I lost him during my transfer of tanks. He was one of my favorite all time fish.
