Had mine for over a year and its my favorite fish. Very cool personality.

Super calm, just hangs out different spots out in the open all day kind of like a cardinal.

I feed every couple days and there isnt anything it wont eat. least picky fish I have.

I got mine in trade. The person who had it before had a pair and loved how they acted together and then one of them died. She didnt like how it acted by itself so she traded me for it.

Those pictures I posted are pretty old. He looks a lot fatter now.

Mine has been really easy. Eats everything. Once a day is fine. Really different from any other anthias I have kept.

I have three of them. There was a time about 1.5-2 years ago that the price on these dropped to $69 each. I guess they found a glut of them somewhere for collection. Anyways, mine eat anything. IME very hardy and not shy. Mine chow down on Ocean Nutrition Pellets. One of the three has grown significantly larger than the other two. I am guessing he is the male of the group.

Waste I don't think so but in fact it's food for the locals. Born and raised in the tropics myself ... you would be surprise to see the abundance of different assortment of fish specimens being caught and sold for the daily consumption. Locals prefer fresh caught fish and they do not freeze fish over there.

I want one so bad too. I have searched for last couple of months. I could find anywhere. I was told November or December will a season. I can't wait to get two of them
