This guy has been in QT for several weeks now, almost ready for the DT.. I noticed a weird looking bump/growth on his very front dorsal fin... almost looks like the fin has rolled up or swollen.. has a little texture possibly

Fish eats like a champ, swims, etc. looks fully healthy

Not a great pic, but about the best I can do... any thoughts? Thanks

Cottony/fibrous or cauliflower looking growths are usually Lymphocystis. Harmless virus that may come and go throughout the fish's life. Usually brought on by stress to the fish's immune system.

Pristine water quality; good high quality foods rich in proteins, fats, and some vitamins added like Selcon, Zoecon can help the immune system. Mix a bit of Beta Glucan in with the food can work beautifully to boost the fish's immune system.
