Both skimmers just stopped making foam.

Hi both of my skimmers just stopped making foam in the last 24 -36 hours.
Both have been fine for last 9 months and we're cleaning a couple weeks ago.
Two thing have changed in my tank this week. I switch from running GFO in a bag to a reactor. (An old used reactor ).

I also have a missing Anthias. Could the dying fish release oil to shut down the skimmers? My ORP reading has not dropped yet 381. It's a 400G tank so finding the fish is not easy.

Wouldn’t be the fish.. I’d guess the new reactor you out online or a food you added etc..

Is it still making micro bubbles? Sounds like air-line is plugged.

Both skimmer are full of bubbles just no foam at all. They act like I just dumped in a bunch of frozen food with out rinsing it first.

Run some carbon they will be back online shortly..

Agreed. After a water change I do not get any skimmate for 12-24 hours. Something has just reduced the surface tension of your water temporarily.
