Bottled bacteria after water changes

Biospira is fine. I've done it.

Does anyone know if biospira has to be used once it's opened or can I use a little bit each week like stability?

I have used it a little at a time for weeks before or different setups. It has an expatriation date on the bottom of the bottle so as long as you are using it before then you will be fine.

For the most part, the bacteria doesn't live in the water column, it lives in the sand and rocks in the tank.

I've used aquavitro seed bacteria after water changes before, but not every time. I just dose per the instructions on the bottle as I feel it can't hurt.

For optimum biofilter performance, use 5 mL for each 80 L (20 US gallons) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium.

Hey I want to show something

This should be the harshest water change anyone on this thread has seen, if you've seen someone handle a 13 yr old reef this rough lemme know/post

The amazing part: all your reefs can do this, mines not superman vase heh

After seeing that vid, and I've done this so many times I can't count, are water changes harmful to a reef tank? Most people offer the common courtesy of at least a quick refill, and they're not changing 150% all at once...

Next morn

If I had to guess, it's had over a thousand events of this nature.
