Bottom of refugium

i have ordered two of these Ceramic Highly Porous Block / Slab Filter Media 13 x 8 x 3cm to help boost the biological filtration on my 40 gallon could these sit in the bottom of my refugium

Cool thanks i went and ordered the hob, protein skimmer and refugium today for my new tank

Yep! If you have Chaeto or something like that, it can go right on top. I also have some snails in there to help keep it clean.

Thanks alot for the help my blocks ariived before the refugium which is gonna be another one to two weeks so im letting them sit on the sand in the tank so i can start the cycle
