am setting up a larger tank and just bought today 2 very young tangs, one yellow and one purple. I put them in a holding tank to get used to each other while i complete my new build.
At first no aggression and both were instantly feeding, and did not leave each others side, but now the purple is still calm and feeding off the rocks but the yellow just constantly swims rapidly back and forward along the front glass . Im guessing it can see its reflection.
Does anyone know any cures for this, I dont want it to die of stress

Turn out the lights for a while?

yes.. put tangs in while lights are off.. Will really help.. when i put my blue tang in, it got super stressed.. turned off lights and went much better.

Agree turn off the light and they won’t see a reflection.
