Bought some frags today

One of which is a green Star polyp. The coral is retracted right now, but inside there looks to be an organism. In one image you can see what looks like a little mouth, that then can open up and it can retract all the way inside out of view. Any ideas?

I’m guessing vermatid. See if it casts a web at times to “reel in” detritus.

Dont keep an eye on it- Remove it or cover hole with Gel super glue

Can you be more specific with your description? How he looks when he is full open,does he release any web?

Doesnt look like any vermetid tube I've seen.

+1 I think it's a Vermatid covered in Acropora/Monitpora (or similar). I would have preferred they stay out of my reef, even though they aren't a huge nuisance to my mixed corals, I get poked or scratched by them on occasion while cleaning.

Unfortunately I can’t give you a good description- inside of the opening just inside, there was a small light colored “mouth” that was round, and it receded further into that hole. At one point it looked like there may have been some brown filamentous net just slightly larger than the opening hole. The organism appears to be very shy, and i might just be able to still see him.
it is a green Star polyp coral that has that hole in it.

I would crush the hole with pliers, then glue the hole shut. Then fire an atomic bomb if you have one. I think you can guess I hate vermatid!
