Bought this harlequin - he/she is not moving

Hey. want some advice - bought this fish - immediately he swam to this place - and has been there for 5 days - its an investment - so would like advice.

tank 4 years old - no other issues just a new introduced fish. He has not moved for 72 hours

Are we talking about an Australian Harlequin tusk? Is it possible to get some pictures?

How do you add fish?
Full prophylactic Quarantine?
Observational Quarantine?
Acclimation box for a few days?
Eating well before adding to tank?
Float and drop?

Phosphate is true zero? Which test?
Do you use GFO?
Have you changed it recently?
Have you upped the amount of GFO?

I’m having a hard time figuring out if you are being serious or not...

If you are, providing more info and perhaps a video might help? Have you tried feeding the tusk directly, maybe with tongs and a small chunk of clam or shrimp? Anyone possibly being aggressive?

It could be stress related?

I had something similar happen to a glow wrasse I recently added. Unfortunately the spot the wrasse chose to hide was under a large rock structure and it never moved or came out to eat (and I couldn't get to it to catch it) so I lost it.

Can you move the tusk to your sump? Or a separate tank to let it chill out and get it eating?

OK - @HotRocks I apologize - as I explained to @ngoodermuth on the other thread - this was in response to a post @Lasse made - in fact - I took this picture a couple months ago - because this fish literally stayed in this position for hours at a time. Then all the sudden it was fine (but it did go to this place every night - or even just at various times of the day). At first - I did think there was a disease/etc so that's why I took the picture - but no the fish (was) fine. I meant to post this in response to a post @Lasse made about a tang (on another thread) - but I was apparently reading this one at the time - so thanks to everyone who responded!!!!!!!

This fish did have a bad outcome - though - a couple days after this was taken - he jumped and was able to push the mesh cover on the tank off. I bought another - and it did the same. So - now I have a new cover - and a new tusk - who literally displays the same behavior in the same place - and literally did not moved for 3 days. He is now doing fine. If anything else its an interesting fish behavior post.

They are a Wrasse... Very common for Wrasse to take a few days to acclimate to any new system. As well as jump. Big time jumpers.

I have had Wrasse lay on their sides for 3 days straight upon acclimation, that at the time I had written off for dead. To eventually snap out of it and become an awesome addition to the community. Their behavior is not really similar to any other fish in the hobby.
