at what point is a mushroom considered a bounce mushroom? Iv had some ricordia for about a year now, almost all of it is Orange and purple and has uniform bubbles. But one of the heads over the year has turned blue and a good portion of its bubbles have grown much larger than the rest. They seem to getting bigger lately and some almost have that bounce inflated look to them. Don't mind the crappy pictures I was cleaning the tank when I decided to post this lol.

If I remember correctly, bounce shrooms are actually Rhodactis sp. and not actually ricordias.

yumas are pretty well known to do this from time to time, but it comes and goes. Bounces get more bubbles as they grow but they stay constant. And IME with bounces, they grow back the same bubbles even if they are cut off, or popped accidentally.

Iv had this one for a year and it's always had bubbles like this. I actually made a post about it awhile back because I thought it was strange then lol. Now I believe 9 months has passed and the same bubbles are still enlarged only much bigger and it seems more are starting to do this as well. This was from sep, 2016
