whats the best and fastest way of getting a mushroom to attach? I bought a tiny WWC OG Bounce Mushroom that wasn't attached and I've had it in a cup with rock rubble for almost a month now and it hasn't attached to anything yet.

My advice is to set a small piece of rubble on top of it or a rubber band.

It wont kill it, it would just add enough pressure to the foot.

Well its surrounded in rock rubble and a few small piece are on top of it to make sure it doesn't float out with the current in the tank. Not sure if the rubble on top is putting any pressure on it.

Would putting a small dab of gel super glue on its foot hurt it?

I recently went through the same with a jawbreaker that just would not attach. I had it in a little container with rubble and a couple holes in it in low flow. It took almost a month before I noticed it had finally attached to a piece of rubble that I could then glue onto something else. Patience it should eventually take hold.

I would not recommend the glue.

Screw patience...its a bounce mushroom. I wouldn't take any chances. You run the risk of the bounce floating away.

I frag this bounce not too ago. I know what I'm doing. I mean don't crush your bounce but set something on top of it. Trust me they are pretty strong.

Im thinking of putting some sand on the bottom of the cup and them putting the rock rubble on top of the bounce. Might be easier for it to attach to smaller sand particles than the rock rubble.

This has work for me always
Put it in small container with crushed coral Sand, it will attach to a piece of sand in 2-3 days then u can glue it to a plug or rock etc.

Thats what I just did a couple of hours ago. Lets hope it works

I would use a cyanoacrylic glue. A small dab on the mushroom's foot won't hurt it, as cyanoacrylic was actually first developed as a wound sealer and won't absorb into coral tissue. The only downside is if the foot doesn't naturally attach sooner or later, eventually the cyanoacrylic bond will break and the mushroom will be free floating. I've had issues getting two bounce mushrooms to seal onto something and this was the only way I eventually got them stuck to rock. Both fully seated themselves onto the rock I glued them too.

If the sand/rock rubble doesn't work I will give this a try. Thanks.

I have a slightly different approach I've only used with cheaper shrooms but its 100% successful so far. (3 for 3 LOL)

Fishing line and needle, just through the tissue twice then tie it to itself. Cut line, and glue the line knot you tied to the plug. Fishing line glues great...

Heres where a little diy got me with attaching mushrooms. Took old netting screen, cut eggcrate to size and glued it to a frag plug. Keeps the shroom from flying away. Always had success this way

Thank you guys for all the great tips and suggestions. I will definitely be trying some of the methods suggested if I can't get the bounce to attach.

happen to me with Sunkist there credit do with who taught me this method but he told me to take the corner of a plstic bag and cut it off and cut the corner off again and made a cone for my frag plug kind of like a cone for a dog

I glued my wwc bounce and it has been doing great for the past 4 months.
