Hey all,

Was hoping someone might be able to provide a couple tips to save my bowerbanki. It is deteriorating and I am not sure why.

Alk 8.2-8.6
Cal 450
Nitrate 4-10ppm
Po4 .07-.17

The bowerbanki has been looking worse and worse slowly over the last two months. It seemed to coincide with my upgrade to t5/led hybrid.

Other thing I guess worth mentioning is an anemone split today, but I figure that is unrelated. Any opinions on what might be bothering it?

It went from great in September to terrible today.

All other corals appear healthy. SPS included, aside from MEN I am dipping for.

Any help will be appreciated.

Do you know the PAR level at that coral site?

About 200ish par when that picture was taken. I moved it it there to give it there to give it a bit of shade. It was in an area of about 230par par

That PAR level seems OK to me. And the move from 230 to 200 isn't really much change. I'd guess at this point light may not be the issue?

I have had bowers for years and some are more finicky than others and I am guessing it has to do with depth/light and flow issues. I have some wild rainbow bowers but can lose a green/purple one that is within inches of another bower growing like a horse. I have tried shading them and some have responded better than others. Have you had this piece a while or it it new to your system? I would make sure it is far away from the frogspawn as the sweepers would burn it for sure.
