The photo shows of a Irukandji, a tiny but seriously deadly jellyfish, that can come up in FL, though they normally live in Australia. THIS IS A HIGHLY DANGEROUS ANIMAL. Please discard it back in the ocean. These jellyfish are extremely dangerous because they are tiny, their tentacles can measure over a meter, and if the sun hits them right, are practically invisible. Their toxin is almost to the power of a box jellyfish. You don’t want it touching youThis was in the water near my leg in the florida keys. I didn’t feel sting but I have extreme paranoia about stuff like this. I think it’s a Irukandji jellyfish. Am I at risk?

I don’t want to say you will, but seeing as this creature normally lives in Australia, there isn’t an antidote for it I believe, and has the potential to kill children…..draw your own conclusion would be best.
If you were stung, you would probably already be in serious pain. I’m not going to mention the things that happen to you just so I don’t give you more stress, but in some cases, the affects only appear a few hours later.
If pain comes up and you feel like you have a fever, go to the hospital immediately. (Many other affects can pop up)
