Hey guys, I have a pretty sweet brain coral but I have noticed it extending arms (in the pic) and was wondering if anyone knows if they are stinging to other corals or the fish. Thanks guys and appreciate any feedback! Lights are ramping on and had just fed phytofeast live when I noticed it’s feeder arms but I just wanna make sure the won’t sweep out my other corals.

it's white? never seen this before. does it ever retract? Maybe cut it

There’s three arms that look like the pic I drew coming off of it. It hit my zoo’s and they didn’t react in anyway which is good. Very long tho Coral is about 4 inches and it’s arms com out like 8+

That's a ctenophore or comb jelly. There's an organism that looks like a flat worm living under the coral.

People go different ways, but I've found that they irritate the corals around them, so I usually remove them. You just need to lift the coral and you should be able to scrape it off the skeleton with a fingernail.

Okay I’ll have to check when I get home in like an hour, there was 2-3 if those long things, should I take him out and dip him in coral rx again?

When I first got him I had only coral RX’d him for about a minute maybe because I had taken him out when what I thought was his tissue was actually one of those things coming off! Dipped him for 6-7 min this time while bringing him out of the dip water and two cane of fairly easy, had to pull one off piece by piece and tore up another one that wouldn’t come off. Going to dip again in a couple days or tomorrow? Here’s the pics

Take some pictures before you scrape it off. I would love to see that!
