I have a brain coral and for the past week or so the feeding tentacles have been out all day and night. I feed every 3 days and it eats great. I’ve tried moving because I thought it could have been slightly too much flow. But still out. Any suggestions?

Not sure if my nitrates are too low too. It varies between 0 and 3.

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Phosphates 0
Salinity 35
Calcium 420
Alkalinity 10.2
Mag 1325

Placement on bottom with low to medium flow.

It must be pretty happy and confident that there are no predators that are going to eat it in the day if they are out 24/7. Its nothing to worry about and if you keep moving it around you will stress it and possibly kill it. If it had too much flow, it would not extend the tentacles at all because they will get ripped off.

Here’s a pic

Looks fine to me. I have one meat coral that does that 24/7 and one that constantly goes from swollen and feeding, to shrunken and looking mad. I'm stressed when it isn't swollen. Your coral is super happy and you should be thankful for that.

Awesome. One more thing. Does this acan look good. I see one side closed and the other side open. Is that normal. Sorry new to the coral world.

Not the best pics in the world but I have both one face Brians and closed brains. My tentacles are out all the time!

So would you say this acan looks normal with one side polyps out and the other closed?
