I just noticed today that there is this mucus looking stuff on part of my brain coral. It might have been because it got too close to something else. Is this something I should be concerned about or will it clear up on it’s own? If so how long? Thanks.

Looks like some skeleton exposed in that one spot there. What is that thing above and slightly right?

Could it have gotten stung by something?

That’s a frag from a finger leather coral.
 
Your pup in your avatar is super cute! Okay - well the damaged spot is on the exact side where another coral is... I'd move that other coral.

Thanks. I moved them both away from each other. I saw something mentioning about using an iodine dip to help it heal. Would that be advisable in this case, or is that for more severe damages?
