Not sure which species of brain coral this is, but it was on the LFS clearance rack yesterday. Any recommendations on how to best help it recover? Do they benefit from Reef Roids?

Excited to see what I believe are feeding tentacles coming out.

Probably acan, or whatever they call them now a days. :) Low flow, low light, good coral food broadcast should be good. Once recover a bit more, you can feed them small mysis too.

What makes you lean toward Acan over brain?

Gut feel. Hard to tell from the skeleton. Looks more like a acan structure, but really hard to tell in pics. Can you do a white light and better focus on the skeleton itself? May help.

Looks like distinct, circular polyps. I'd guess acan as well.
