I have a 29 biocube reef(work in progress), and I am fairly new to this level of the hobby. I would probbly need a 12 step program to stop now lol. Iwas cleaning and accidently broke a branch with two heads off my frogspawn . I was really bummed out at first, but, after examining the broken branch it seemed to be ok. None of the polyps were damaged and it was a clean break right at the main trunk of the coral. I stuck the incedental frag in the sand bed until I could figure out what to do. Today the polyps are inflated and extended, so it appears I now have TWO branching frogspawns. I want to glue it to a rock sinc its too shortto be on the bed. I have the perfect place picked out and the rock is even movable, in case it doesnt like the spot I picked. Ive never done this before. I have some Loctite gel superglue, but I am hesitant because I dont want to poison my tank. Any input, y'all?

NEver used that sutff before, but its gotta be the same as Super Glue. Most would use the Super Glue Gel though, or underwater epoxy, much easier to use than the liquid super glue.
What you accidentily did was Frag your Frogspawn, not going to be an issue unless you broke it along where the polyps come out, which it looks as if you didn't. Now ya gots another one!!

I have found that most super glue gels work great. But it has to be gel. I have glued lots of acros to rocks and they do great. Once you dry the bottom of coral off then apply a generous amount of glue and place where you want it and hold there untill glue sets about 2-3 minutes.

They are very hearty and grow like weeds. Try not to get the glue on any tissue.

Thanks! It is a gel super glue. Cool. I thnk im gonna wait till friday to place it, though. I should be getting a torch or a hammer. Not sure which. Lfs is getting a new shipment thursday. I think I will let it stay stuck in the bed till then so I can put them both in the best place.
