Branching hammer issue

Hello .. i have an issue with my branching hammer .. today i just noticed that it looks damaged from its branch .. the coral opens up and eats i just fed it last night .. please refer to the photos .. i appreciate your thoughts

Its probably emerald crabs eating a algae forming on them,I had a emerald do the same thing and now its in my sump.
 
The top pick looks like a bad cut with a dremel and a piece chipped off. It looks like it's okay though. You can do an iodine dip if it starts receding. I've used super glue to seal pieces like that to reduce bacterial infection. Just avoid gluing any soft tissue. Leave it alone if it just darkens and the polyps on that branch stay like they are in the pic.
 
Hello again .. recently i have new branches from the same hammer and it has same issue ..now i am afraid that i have something eating it or so .. during the light time they open very well and looks healthy .. please note that I have only snails electric blue crabs and reef safe fishes which are well known .. i have added a pic following to text .. help will be really appreciated
