How do you get rid of branching hydroids?
Are there any invertebrates that would eat them?

All i've found was that butterfly fish might and some limpets? But i've also read that butterfly fish can eat some corals.

yes they also known as zanclea hydroids, the only natural predators that am aware are a mimic tang and the tiger cowrie. It can be a hit and miss with both of them though like CB for aiptasia.
The chemical way will be febenzadole but this will kill most soft corals. Zoas mushroom do ok under treatment.

in addition stop any small particle food like phytoplankton etc...
hope it helps.

Yeah i target feed my corals heavily with reef energy and reef roids.
I've seen febenzadole and saw it can even be bad for inverts.
Are the hydroids harmful to corals? I'm also thinking of getting a laser for aiptasia and see if i can even burn them all...

they multiply rather fast if enough food around, they sting corals. You could give it a go but nothing is guaranteed in this hobby, will be interesting to see if it works.
