It was a rookie mistake. I should have been measuring pH once a week for at least the first 6 to 8 months.

Both of my boys dreaded that first orthodontist visit. But it all worked out okay. One should be done relatively soon and the other has been wearing a special retainer for two years -- he gets real braces this fall. Deep breaths...everything will be fine.

Hey fellow, more experienced, reefers. What is the next 2 or 3 test kits i should get and use regularly? I have the basic alk, calc, mag, no3, po4, and ph. Just looking to take the next step in quality h2o.

Thank you! I have told him from the first moment he became self conscious about a couple of teeth that we'd get them taken care of. @dantimdad do not feel too bad. It happens. I wiped out most of my SPS recently with an Alkalinity spike (among other issues). Sucks, but we just need to move forward and be patient.

My cat catches the lizards in our backyard and then brings them in the house to give to us. During the hot months I find a dead anole/gecko on my bed a few times a month.And then there was the feral cat that lived around our house. It had the pleasant habit of catching / killing rabbits, eating half of them and stashing the rest of the bloody carcass in my wife's flower beds. Imagine her delight when she ran across one of those.Ok cat rant over. Ha!
