I am about 5 hours north of the epicenter. I didn't feel it up here. We dont get as many in the foothills of the Sierras. The last one we felt only shook the window blinds. My heart goes out to those near Bakersfield who lost their homes

@dantimdad you said you got a couple of zoas with that f-aiptasia. Any chance palytoxin took a toll on your sps? Just trying to figure out what happened. I am always trying to learn.

Never thought about that. I wonder if palytoxin drops pH?

They should be fine. I believe they are both pretty far north of where the quake was. The quake was down in the southern part of the state. 7.1 is nothing to sneeze at. Pretty significant in magnitude. Now you just have to wonder if they are done with.

Those rainbow bottom anemones are incredible. If they are from cooler waters, worthy of a species tank. Then I could get that Catalina Goby I always wanted . Actually, it might go well with the neon anemones color wise.

Interesting thought for sure.... The F-Aiptasia did bump my PH a decent ammount, My probe was reading 8.5 after my biggest treatment session in +/- 25g of water.

All good over here. That was pretty wild with the quakes, my phone kept going off. 5.6, 6.5, 6.7, my wife and I though the world ender was coming last night haha. Usually before a massive one there’s a series of medium sized ones to loosen it all up, then kapow, no more Hemmdog.

@mattzang said his tanks were swaying hardcore! I would have been losing my mind!

California as a place is beautiful. California's government and all of our taxes are less than ideal. We keep talking about moving out of state, but our families are here.
