Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Anyone else wish they had someone to go to lfs with sometimes or have someone to go with?
Yep. It’s kinda awkward going alone sometimes. Especially when you don’t really need to ask questions. I feel like half the time they don’t even know if I’m a reefer or someone looking for a free aquarium visit. Lol. My main shop knows obviously. But now it’s like a daycare with the owners kids in there. Not very enjoyable. Blasting sponge bob and finding toys floating in sumps lol.

So now you leave with few less brain cells.
I feel you. Until now it was my wife that I dragged to the lfs. At least she is willing.

Beyond dry now. Downright dusty! :)

Something not right about tank maintenance when there is no water. :)

Today my buddy, who was expecting a few boxes of fish, got a call from a California Fish & Game agent visiting the Fedex, UPS, etc distribution centers in his area. She said she had to open a box of his because it didn't have a description of contents on the outside. She went on to say that its California law that all boxes labelled "live tropical fish" must have an invoice/description of contents taped to the outside else they could get held up while they are inspected. Apparently they are looking for some invasive fresh water plant.

Has anybody heard of/experienced this? It's news to me. And was news to the vendors that my buddy called to request they tape a contents description on the outside of the box (a notable large online vendor said there was no way they could do this). I know its a requirement for live plant shipments but have never heard of this for live tropical fish.
For those of you in Cali @Hemmdog

I saw that. That stinks lol. So many crazy rules here. Yet homeless are allowed to sleep anywhere and ask for money on any corner.
