Try removing 80lbs of live rock from your tank and putting it in a rubbermade tote so you can catch all your fish. Then you get to put all the 80 lbs of rock back in your tank after you have sufficiently stirred up the sand bed into a snow globe, hoping you don't crush your shrimp in the process... Turns out, he's smarter than me and moved out the way. That was not fun...

It very well may come down to using a skewer. If you see the poor lil slob in a hole, just poke him with a stick.

As a bonus, then you just put it on the grill and enjoy crab kebab.

No sign of the crab since I tried to spear him. Maybe he'll have time to think about the way he's acted. The little fungia is coloring up and extended his tentacles or whatever they are called. I really hope he makes it.

Ever set up a tank to house a bad guy? My son wants to set up our 8 gallon to keep the gorilla crab in until we find him a nice cozy sump. Still haven't caught him.

I did it short term with a 10 gallon when I was removing fish and a Nem before bringing them back to the LFS. Not sure I'd do it for a crab. This might be one of those times where telling Jr. the crab went to "live on a farm" is on the table
