Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Perfect, I have someone to blame for my bad behavior. You can expect a PM from my wife in a few weeks and it probably won't be a nice one.
That's ok. I am used to it. I have (had) three very close friends that the last day I saw them was their wedding day. Wives don't like me for some reason. :)

Don't skip on the heart of your tank. My .02
Ha! Another enabler. What she says is true though. Get what you want. Never settle.

Sounds like a solid plan to me. I'll be sleeping shortly after working all night. Though I'm currently debating on whether or not I want to sink as much money into my sump as I did on the tank lol.
Get yourself a nice sump. My sumps were 3x more than I paid for my tanks lol.

@JoshH I know you have the extra expense of living in Canada. Are there any custom sump manufactures up there in the frozen tundra? I bet Miracles would build you an awesome sump. :)

In stew? some weird form of Kimchi!
@Katrina71 Hope you are feeling better today. I am hoping you don't have to work.

So, what does everyone have on the agenda for their Saturday? I am still just being lazy - and that may end up being my plan for the day. :)
i took vacation the 1&2 of August. Nobody ran my accounts so that's what I'm doing today.

Was up and at 'em early. Started laundry, cleaned the kitchen, litter box, picked up the dog poop, pulled the battery out of the '07 Lexus, went to O'Reilly's and had it tested, it tested out fine which is what I was afraid of, bought a new alternator and serpentine belt for the '07 Lexus and had to pick it up at a different O'Reilly's because it was not in store stock, talked to Katherine because her and Kyla are in Arizona to look at ASU and University of Arizona, went to in-laws to water their garden and flowers because they've been in California for the last 5 weeks and I've been caring for their house, back home now to continue laundry, vacuum, hang more medals Kyla won at her last dance competition and put off changing the alternator for as long as possible. It's not a job I'm looking forward to as many parts have to come off to access the alternator. Man, I yearn for cars of the 60's and 70's when everything was so easily accessible. Oh, and I need to clean one of the filters and do a water change on the 90g FW. Then I'd also like to go for a 10 mile run.

Ain't no rest for the wicked. Just the way I like it!

up at 530, started laundry, my 35 year of oatmeal and 4 egg whites for breakfast, took a box freezer to my daughters house for them to have, saw two Mennonite patients and got paid fresh tomatoes and home made raspberry/red beet jam, helped my son remove and replace spark plugs in his motorcycle, went to Lowes to get two new 2x8x12's for my bridge project which will hopefully be done today, came home from Lowes to realize my gyres quit running, cursed under my breath heated up some chili i made last night and ate that while reprogramming the gyres, second feeding, now to the bridge before the next patient and this evening need to cut 5 acres of land because tomorrow i have to do all my tank maintenance bc i head to Pittsburgh for the week.

You made me need a nap. :)

Did you talk them in to ridiculously expensive hobby purchases? :p

Don't skmip on the heart of your tank. My .02

I totally agree, but theres skimping and going overboard lol I tend to naturally do the latter, with little to no outside encouragement.

Get yourself a nice sump. My sumps were 3x more than I paid for my tanks lol.

Well if my sump was 3 times the cost of my tank pretty sure I'd be buried in the back yard and it would be up for sale on Ebay lol

This was a quote from the only manufacturer I've found that works with acrylic. Miracles quoted $1000 and Concept Aquariums was around $700 but they only work with glass and it's just not as flexible as acrylic and difficult/not possible to get exactly what I want out of it.

@JoshH No, I did not talk them into any expensive hobbies - well, there was that one that I convinced he should have a Corvette. :) I think it had more to do with me being single.

Glass sumps are cool. That is all I have ever had, until this "build." Are you close enough to either of them that you could pick them up and avoid the shipping goons?

Concept I definitely am, but I didn't go with them for my build for a reason and I feel those reasons might haunt me on the sump as well. Miracles would definitely be shipped.

And don't feel bad, everyone should have a Corvette ;) :p

This is another duo that is popular with Parrot Head clubs all over the country. They tour just about anywhere and everywhere, playing house concerts and music venues just about one performance a day. "Drop Dead Dangerous" is Melanie Howe on percussion and Kitty Steadman on guitar and vocals. She also writes a lot of their songs. This appears to be a house concert. They have played here a number of times. Hope the Facebook link to the video works...
