Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Oooo, I like the sound of this one...

Warning, it isn't watered down flavored moonshine. This stuff is just as strong as the regular moonshine. Sweet on the tongue but still has a good bit of burn going down.
Says on the jar 40% alcohol / 80 proof. That is about the same strength as most liquor you buy. Not really close to real moonshine, which I believe @Katrina has. Strong enough for sure, but I learned my lesson from drinking only a pint of real moonshine (my ex-brother-in-law has a legal still for making ethanol - fuel). Kinda like drinking a pint of Everclear (190 proof).

I've had REAL Popcorn Sutton moonshine, hahaha fun night, loooong story... some other stuff made in a back woods still somewhere(give me a minute and I can have some more, no I won't tell you where from)... and I've had stuff that was legal made from Ole Smokey and other distillers.

I've also had the store bought Popcorn Sutton recipie moonshine that Hank Williams Jr makes. It's close, but not quite as smooth, or as strong... great store bought shine tho. Highly recommend if you want to try it. Hahaha, theres a loooong story to go with the night I broke that bottle out too.

I could have swore my jar of Hunch was 100 proof(50%)... might be wrong. The Blackberry we have is 40 proof(20%) and still unopened. I'll let you know on that but I believe it was in the taste testing we did last October and we liked it.

Other than sipping on an Apple Pie on the rocks every now and then, I am done with moonshine. Truth be known, I really don't drink much anymore. Lost a few friends where alcohol was at least a contributing factor, so trying to live a little wiser in my old age.

In my 20s, I pretty much was at work... or drunk. Not alcoholic, but just liked to party a bit too much. Did a lot of irresponsible things.

My 30s have been A LOT more sober. Well, except for fall 2017... that was a little rough but there were some circumstances at play. Now, I may have a few beers a week and MAYBE a little liquor about once a month.

Once in a blue moon tho, I'll have a party at the house... that's when I cut loose. And regret every decision I've ever made in my entire life. Hangovers are worse after 30... I don't want to know what happens at 40.

Me too. I drink very little now.

You start to learn to not drink as much.

I'm going to try that!

WHAT!?
Factory made moonshine?
I was laughing at that stuff when on vacation in Illinois.
What's up with you southerners?
We make and drink real moonshine all the way up here in Wisconsin.
I know for a fact there's someone in your county making some real good fresh shine. Go get some!
Somebody in one of your families must have a recipe or grandpappy that made shine, get out and follow their footsteps.
