Odds are you won't (In older houses anyway), but in new framing in new builds as things settle out and twist fiber tape over sheet seams will crack eventually. It's the same reason spray in foam insulation is an absolutely horrible idea in new builds. Sometimes the older ways are just better

Question.

For a twenty long 12 -13 inches deep will a double t5 or t8 work. Bulbs will be 10k and antic. Looking for best option.

Honestly with a tank that shallow I would bet 2xt5 would be fine. later on, you could add more or a and LED bar.
