I'm struggling with coral ID. Chalices are all so different. Different textures and characteristics. We also saw different types of acans yesterday. Some looked more like a scoly.

Depends on the clam. I think you need a bigger one(or to not buy from DD) to have success. My squammy I recently got from DD died after less than a week. (╯︵╰,)

DD is a no go on clams. Nothing but bad reviews with clams

Different species like to live in different areas. Maxima and Crocea really needs to be up on a rock where it can protect its bissal opening. Smaller clams are also heavily dependent on phyto and less so on photosynthesis for food.

#1 killer of small clams: starvation

#1 killer of large clams that die mysteriously overnight: bristle worms.

Make sure your clam is on rock where it can protect its bissal opening.

The three sun corals have all shown tentacles, I am going to tease them in a bit with liquid food, the acro is a different story!
The acro is doing great, some idea of size, this is tapered so it came off base coral, 4 inch x 6 inch ish!

The little hammer got its first meal from my coris wrasse lol. Spaghetti worm it dropped. The coris see them, picks them up, never eats them, and always drops them by the euphilla garden for some reason. The corals don’t mind at all.

I'm glad he has friends! He wasn't getting showcased in my tank. Not enough room for him to really sprawl.
