I'm thinking about trading in my toadstool and trying a Briareum gorgonian. I read they were pretty easy to keep. But I have no clue what a fair trade in value would be for it. Any suggestions?

Edit: I paid $40 for it when it was only about 2". It's now about 7".

Maybe I should sell it outright instead of asking to trade it in to the LFS I bought it from then. I doubt he'd give me much.
Half. Think of a lfs as a pawn shop. They have to make money as well. If they gave you full asking price they couldn't make a profit.
@dantimdad is that about right.

I messaged the owner. I'm friends with him. I told him my jebao wavemaker had quit and he offered to trade me a hydor koralia 2450 for it. Or I can pick out some other corals. I'm thinking the 2450 may be a bit of overkill though. So I'll probably just order another jebao and trade it for a few frags.
Thanks for the help!!!

Why are you asking @dantimdad for? What does hanging sheet rock have to do with coral prices? :rolleyes: :p
