Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

@living_tribunal that link describes it as a “fast growing nutrient sponge” that does best in a brightly lit nutrient rich environment.
Its growing on two of my recovering acans. Urchins love it.

I don’t know about you guys, but my blenny would eat whatever this is right off the sandbed. Then poop shower the sand out. It’s been a thing for so long I had forgotten about it...I had clean sand and now it’s U-G-L-Y UGLY

it’s just the one spot that’s bad. Is that a flow issue or potentially sunlight hits the tank right there in the morning? (Also the only spot that really grows GHA). Alternative theory is that’s where most of the pellets end up that hit the bottom, on or around that rock. But my crabs will move in on those immediately.

yes my glass is dirty, I haven’t been home much the past few days and have felt so lazy. The blenny would clean that too :(

I love utilitarian fish

I had one, very good at stirring sand bed. Also very good at being clumsy.
Do you think I have a deep enough sand bed for one? It’s a 28g tank if that matters. everything is nailed down, he can be as clumsy as he wants. My crabs already kamikaze off the top deck all the time, no casualties yet. But I did have to rescue another one out of my purple hammer the other day. Not sure if he needed rescuing or was just getting a nap.

I’m just messing, after that climate change train wreck yesterday I thought that comment was absolutely hysterical ;Joyful

I know lol :) but I do want to talk about climate change now that you’ve mentioned it.

I had one living in a 35 cube (20×20×20") full of toxic heavy metals for a year. Finally passed after tank change plus like 6 months. You're fine.

Excellent! I tried to get one early on, but the LFS that I went to in order to get it (haven’t been back) sold me an empty shell. Realized it after a few days when it never moved after I put it in the tank...now it’s a frag plug for my zoas.
