I have a Waffle House a mile from my house. Never had an issue in there with sketchy people. I mean it's Waffle House and at 3am you get interesting people sobering up over greasy waffles and sub par coffee.

Next town over theres a Huddle House with a crack motel next to it. Gets very rough on 3rd shift. PD called regularly.
