I used warm whites on mine and they worked well. Havent tinkered with red or blues so i cant compare but i think others have used a red/blue blend with decent results. If the reactor wont be inside a stand Id consider which might bother you more being visible in the room.

That was a consideration. I guess red would be best in a bedroom, but not sure how well that would do. A pico tank shouldn't need rapid growth. What do y'all think?
