I have an empty tank and a piece of dead coral. I have a heater that was handed down with the tank. I'm confused with live sand and live coral. What would you use as a substrate that might have benefits to help keep the tank balanced? Do you think 2 tiny fish and 2 shrimp would be possible?

I think so! Substrate of sand and the coral with the heater and a biobag with the filter. After 6 weeks try an oscillator pair

Onnce the nem stops moving , looks Happy , extends etc.
after you pull the canvas off the PHs keep an eye for a few days as the flow will change a just bit.

And how many of you have had a mod disaster?

I modded my Reefer 250 drain and created a nasty leak from the bulkhead. Took about 4 hours and 400 four letter words to fix!

Only 100 swears an hour, glad it was minor!
