As far as RFA babies, I do have a box for them to mature in. Another reefer collected her babies with a turkey baster. So, I'm prepared if it happens. I'm pretty sure the crabs would make a quick meal of them.
The wife and I have been watching you tube videos of them having babies, we where like...wow, that is so cool. Had no idea how they done it. More exciting to watch then a BTA splitting.

Staying home as well, family fusses a bit that we wont come to their houses to celebrate.. but I dont want to drive home with the drunks on the road.

Yes, sadly we have lost 3 family members and had a friend severely hurt in head on collision in the past couple years, without alcohol even involved, so it gives me great pause. Especially with all the ride share services at your finger tips there really is no reason to get behind the wheel after drinking.
Have you tried meds for the fireworks? Depending on severity of freak out, they can be prescribed some antianxiety meds for those occasions. Have seen dogs go through windows or destroy furnishing, and hurt themselves

He is not that bad, but he gets very hyper, panting excessively and wants to be underfoot. Our female wasn't so bad, but got more hyper when the male became more agitated. She isn't here anymore. I have medicated them in the past. Hate to do that. I don't have any left anyway. The male is sulking now, wondering where his sister is, so he may not get as bad this year.
We got them the Thundershirts, which is probably similar to what you are talking about and they had zero effect. Wasted money.
Not sure what we will do. We will be in Sadona Az by then. Probably will do nothing, but we have never been there so it's hard to say at this point.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us. That will put us close to the northern route going home so I plan to roll the dice and try it. Snow, ice and a 36' 5th wheel doesn't sound like much fun
