Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

And so the checkbook... *cough* I mean supervision begins. Tank isn't even wet yet and I'm already buying fish. Shhhh... she doesn't know. (Dont worry, I have a place it can happily live until her tank is ready)

Something tells me she will be more than ok with it. :)

I'm hoping to keep the AIs for at least a year. I hope I can. If the new tank hadn't come with them, this whole project would be a no go.

I've never looked inside one of those... if I were closer I'd come help switch them out... I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron.

well, light isn't something you can go very long without on a reef. I keep backups.

I also keep backups for friends to use until they can get new ones or just keep if they want.

;)

All of the upgrade process was plug in. I want to say that the SOL pucks just plug in, if my memory is reliable (which it isn’t). :)

I think the board and pucks are held in place with screws. Should be an easy swap. I think the pucks are in pairs. Some stills from an HD52 swap.
