Def ok to remove it.

If you keep the plug and it has some gsp it'll grow back too. More frag trade stuff.

Yes. I think it would stay without glue.

Yea should be fine if it'll stay. Gsp will pretty much stick and grow if you stuff it in a nook or cranny.
