Broadstrokes is that it's bacteria booster with coral food, vitamins and some trace elements. Supposed to help keep nutrients in check.

Also, what exactly are "essential" elements? ...or trace ones.

Edit: cause I am not sure I am overloading or not due to not having measurement. I wanted a nutrient rich tank, and it has helped a lot with growth--2 full heads new on a hammer in 5 months-- but not sure of any negatives.

Thats a tough one to answer....Sea water has pretty much every element on earth so like most things in the hobby the answers will vary depending on who you ask and what your trying to do. What an SPS tank needs may not be what a softy tank wants.

The prodibio is mostly bacteria, Iodine, strontium, vitamins, fatty acids and SUPPOSEDLY cannot be overdosed unless you happen to be running biopellets (I do not). I more than likely would have never went out and bought the kit but it was a throw in on another deal so I gave it a shot. Time will tell if it makes any difference.

Cause I thought that aeration was a method to stabilize around 8.4--up to or go under--but with the addition of alkaline buffers, I have no idea..

Yes but not with air alone. Avoid buffers.
