Wow, for some reason I haven't been getting notifications even tho this is a "watched thread." Glad you caught the crab, I think that's where I last left you... I would totally put a birds nest up on top, maybe a monti digi or setosa or maybe even a stylo. Digi seems to be really hardy sps. Mine is slowly recolonizing after I tried to kill it. It's turning brown/green/black skeleton back white, and popping up new orange/red polyps. I can't wait for it to get the green skin back like it had before. Hopefully your parents are ok. Yea in FL and I think other coastal areas it's hard to get insurance in the middle of hurricane season. Especially with a hurricane knocking on the door. I thought we were going to get hit pretty hard up until a few days ago and the path went west. I'm out of the cone now, but still going to get some wind and rain. Shouldn't be anything damaging like Matthew was last year. I lost 4 trees and I still have a pile of tree trunks in the yard that I need to cut up and haul off. Two of them are covered in posion ivy and I had a really bad reaction last year cleaning it all up. Both arms were covered elbow to wrist. I'm eally hesitant to get back in there even after it's all dead.

Don't burn the poison ivy! My brother is fair/red hair also and ended up in the hospital from that. I (knock on wood) kill it frequently in our backyard in flip flops.

I'm not that fair skinned(don't look at my legs in dirrect sunlight, I wear pants year round most of the time) but I tan pretty easily if I wanted to, and I had brown hair until it decided to fall out in my early 20s. At least my beard is brown, for now. Waiting on that to turn gray here in another few years, altho if I take after my father with the gray, I've got until my mid 50s(more than a few years).

I keep spraying the stuff that's left in the back yard, and I have it quarantined to one area mostly, but I think I'll have to pay a professional to completely exterminate it. No burning poison ivy, oak or sumack. The oils get in the smoke and then you breathe it... gets deadly that way.

I think I'm mostly resistant if I just rub up against it. My fiancee, poor thing, she can look at it and have a rash the next day. She has skin that makes white crayons look dark and was red headed as a kid, yes I've known her that long, but it's darkened as she's gotten older. It's some shade of box red/brown now. Yes, I'm marrying a red head next month, and gaining a red headed mother-in-law. I'm crazy, I know, hence the 14g SPS tank. ;Wacky

Cutting the trees with the chain saw got all the oils from inside the vines wrapped around the trees all over me. That was a rough month of itching and applying cream and inevitably scratching and spreading it. Almost went to a dermatologist but it started going away on its own.

Thanks my grandparents in the keys took off. They probably won’t have a house for a few months due to the winds and storm surge though.

Yeah I have a bunch. Once the storm passes my neighbor is gojng to run us power from This massive generator that will be able to power our full house his full house and I think one or 2 more houses.

Awesome! Glad to hear it. Looks like mom and dad are no longer in her direct path. I hope they have a house to go back to. If not, looks like the shed will get to be a bungalow for a while.
