Unfortunately, neither have I... I believe they're kinda peaceful. I only know they're really small and it's family, Chaenopsidae, includes one of the smallest vertebrates (at adulthood .51 inches) I love pipefish so I really wanted one. I believe they're relatively lax. Good for you!

Don't forget to make sure the tank is cycled when you set it up, before adding your livestock. You could grab a bottle of Dr Tims one and only to help speed up this process, there are a ton of videos on youtube about cycling your tank and why you want to do it. You'll see a bunch of pico tanks at your LFS, yes they might be a bit harder for a new person getting into the hobby, but as long as you don't over stock it and stay on top of the maintenance, I think you will be fine.

I think it acts like some sort of hair spray. Keeps everything in place with nice crystaline sheen.

Both. Floating is for temp. Drip is for salinity. Test the salinity in the bag after you open it. If it's the same imo you can cut down the drip time.

Some fish stores use a lower salinity.
It may be listed on their web site.

Yes we got a 29 cube. My son has the 8 now in his room. I ordered from KP Aquatics.

Fwiw. I've put the bag in a small bucket and dripped right into it.

I aim for 40 min to a little more than double the water vol.

But is the salinity is the same you're totally fine.
